How Does This Treatment Work?

The Cosmelan treatment is performed in two-steps. The first step involves the application of a thick, peanut butter-like mask. This mask contains Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Arbutine, and Titanium Dioxide. The mask should remain on your face for 6-10 hours, but the total amount of time depends on your skin type and the amount of hyperpigmentation being treated. The second step is an at-home application that helps maintain the results achieved with the Cosmelan peel while preventing the appearance of new dark spots and areas of hyperpigmentation. Following the treatment, the pigment targeted will appear lighter in color.

 

How Long Do Results Last?

Most people experience improvements in skin tone after just one week following their treatment. Full results can be noticed about 4-5 weeks after the initial session. After completing your treatment course, you can expect long-term results to last roughly 18 months.

For any Cosmelen peel you may book, we do ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out paperwork, and change into a spa robe for your services.
